ASP torches are the highest quality torches available for police, military and security duties. ASP supplies a wide range of torches in a variety of sizes with different features to suit many applications. Forged aluminium is often used because it demonstrates similar mechanical properties to many grades of steal. A resin called Xenoy is used to provide excellent impact resistance, extreme heat resistance, and amazing aesthetic and flow characteristics. Xenoy is a blend of semi-crystalline polyester and polycarbonate.
The ASP Triad is the ultimate police torch. A new level of lighting excellence that is compact but features, high ergonomics, high intensity LED output and excellent durability. The housing is constructed out of forged aluminium and has a moulded Xenoy frame. A lasting, comfortable foamed vinyl grip is used for superior handling which also accents the forged aluminium casing.
The three, high-output, thermally controlled LEDs are cased individually in gasket sealed reflective chambers. The massive 120 lumens output is bright enough to temporarily blind any potential attackers and is powered by two water proof, lithium power cells which give an hours use and have a ten year shelf life. The collaborating LED’s produce a smooth, consistant beam of brilliant white light and the geometric pattern can be altered to give either a large room-illuminating halo or a central beam for brilliant directed lighting. The triad is 140mm long and weighs 153 grams including the batteries.
The use of Softouch® technology means that you can select: locked off (to make sure your torch doesn’t inadvertently switch on and waste your precious battery), locked permanently on (for searching or if you need hands free use) and lock into the press to activate position (which requires the operator to press the button to illuminate the torch and turns off when you release the button). This technology has proven very useful in the tactical situations such as, use with firearms.
The Triad light is best used with the ASP Sidebreak holster.
The ASP Tungsten 1S is a small palm sized torch which gives 70 lumens output (90 lumens LED output) of pre-focused light. Precisely machined from satin hard coat finished, high strength aerospace aluminium, with a knurled grip panel it is a step forward from previous quality standards.
This torch is popular amongst UC officers and PSD/CP operators who are limited on the amount they can carry. The Tungsten 1s is 88.9mm in length, has a 21.2mm diameter and weighs just 56.7 grams (including battery).
The use of CREE LED, which is perfectly positioned within a deep reflective parabolic chamber, produces an exceptional amount of perfect white light.
The switch uses Softouch® technology in a momentary and constant one touch talcap on/off button. Also fitted with a pen clip for easy attachment to clothing, equipment belt or any other piece of clothing, this item is sure to attract a lot of interest.
The ASP Tungsten 2L is similar to the 1S but is bigger and has a longer battery run time. Designed specifically for law enforcement standards and precisely machined from high strength aerospace aluminium it also features a knurl grip panel. ASP torches have heavy emphasis on future use and are designed to be a step above the rest.
This torches also uses the Softouch® technology to select between locked off, locked permanently on and locked press to activate position. This technology has proven very useful in the tactical situations such as, use with firearms.
As with many others in the ASP range the Tungsten 2L uses a CREE LED, precisely positioned in a deep reflective parabolic chamber producing brilliant bright white light for enhanced colour quality. It boasts a 90 lumens output using a 120 lumens LED.
This torch is 134.6 mm long with a 21.2mm diameter so small enough to fit into trouser pockets, equipment belts etc. Weighing just 90.7g with the battery it is well under the weight of other branded torches with equivalent features. All Tungsten torches are designed to exceed the performance of previous models.
